Clean & Comfortable~ Letting Good Energy Flow In My Home
I like to keep my home clean, not only because I see the majority of my clients in my home office but because it feels energizing and at the same time it’s quite relaxing having a home that breathes.
I do have quite a few treasures sitting about as decor but making sure I dust throughly twice a week helps keep dust to a minimum and doing it while I listen to my favorite music makes it enjoyable!
I only buy things I truly love. When I was younger I would purchase a lot of things I honestly didn’t like. I’d just buy it to have it. Not anymore. I cherish every item I put in my home, like this little iPhone speaker amplifier I just got on sale after eyeing it for about a year, and by surrounding myself with things I really love makes being at home enjoyable.
I love soft muted colors, but I do enjoy dark rooms too! As long as everything is inviting and you find it fits your needs and suits your tastes why not?
Don’t ever neglect your bathrooms! Personalize your vanity with items you enjoy looking at and pretty containers for swabs and cotton balls. I love buying candles at TJ Maxx , Marshall’s and Bath & Body Works when they are on sale and using them throughout my home including in my bathrooms.
Decorating your house should not be about trends or what others have but about what you like. It’s “your” house after all! Fill it with happy memories and it becomes a home.💜

Soft and muted colors. That is a good way to describe it.
Oh! A shade of blue I saw on your blog helped me decide on which shade of blue to re-do an old desk recently. I do not have a picture of the desk yet... but it is the same color as the light blue painted on the top drawer + sides of this bedside stand now in my Father's room.
In my head I was trying to design something a bit classic, masculine, with a few sharp colors to add some life force into his room (he is 87... so 'color therapy' is really relevant in this context.) This is what emerged instead. Not quite his style, it contrasts with the dark wood furniture in his room... but fortunately he was endeared enough by it to not reject it. Haha.
