Third, always be true to yourself. Be honest with yourself about what you feel and what you desire. When you lie to yourself you undermine yourself. It is hard to build trust when you are lying to yourself.

Fourth, surround yourself with positive, supportive friends and family. These are the types of people you will be able to lean on when times get bad or difficult. When times are challenging, you will have someone to turn to for support. If you surround yourself with positive, supportive people you will find it much easier to keep going when things get rough.

Fifth, take baby steps. A relationship takes time to develop trust. Don't try to build a relationship quickly. Take baby steps towards success. If you do these things you will soon have the relationship that you want and deserve.

Sixth, make sure you have a plan of action. Have a plan of attack for building trust. Have everything laid out in black and white. Make sure you understand what is expected of you and how you are expected to respond to what those expectations are. The only way to build trust is to be clear in your expectations.

Seventh, don't give up. Sometimes it can be very difficult to continue going down the path that you are on. Sometimes it takes a lot of hard work to overcome obstacles. Don't give up. Keep pushing forward no matter what.

Eighth, avoid playing favorites. No one in life gets to be the hero. Everyone has weaknesses. Don't choose to play favorites.

Ninth, surround yourself with positive, supportive people. These are the types of people you will be able to lean on when times get tough or you face challenges. When you surround yourself with such strong individuals you become stronger and more capable of handling whatever comes your way. This is huge. Without such support you are vulnerable to just about anything.
