Calendar of activities first update of Puppets in the community PROJECT

This is the first update of the marionette project in the community, dedicated to artistic and cultural education, as well as ecology, as well as introducing the theme of the chain of blocks, these complexities in the development of different themes make the project very complete.

                       

It is not the first experience doing workshops as I said in the introduction to the project for more than 15 years I did this same format of project in different rural communities in southern Venezuela the difference is that at that time I had no knowledge about the chain of blocks for 1 year and some months in steemit and has given me wonderful opportunities for my art to be valued in the blockchain, so the fact of training the children with respect to the theater but at the same time to realize a puppet theater play that has as main theme the chain of blocks seems to be really motivating, although Venezuela is one of the main consumers of Internet in Latin America there is still today ignorance about the wonders of cryptographic technology and everything that contains this magical world.



While in countries like Africa and Asia they have been using networks like steemit for some time now to reduce poverty being successful, in Venezuela many people do not have to eat or have no idea how to generate an income with the internet, that is where this project will leave its seed in the youngest who will be able to learn at an early age about the chain of blocks and the differences with the economic system imposed at world level, which has only produced inequality and poverty



Today I will talk about the calendar of activities, expanding a little more about what will be done in each day, this workshop will be uninterrupted, I have coordinated the hours available to children so they can enjoy and participate in the workshop without any contra times.


                       


Calendar of activities


Day 1 Introductory talk to the world of puppets with the children participating in the project.

This will do as much fun as possible, I have under the sleeve many children's games and groups so that everyone feels comfortable, lose a little that typical shyness when we are starting an activity with a group, without neglecting the formative aspects of the introduction to the art of puppet theater.

Day 2 Waste collection and sorting (discussion of what kind of puppets to make).

This is perhaps the most important day, because we will go to some places in the community where there is a lot of waste garbage, especially in a channel of clean water that today this contaminated product of recklessness of the neighbors of the sector who throw all kinds of waste, dead animals, plastics, wood, clothing, food in decomposition to name a few of the things they throw. The idea is to collect plastic pots mainly from natural juices and mineral water, which will become the middle phase of the project in the head of the dolls.

Day 3 Dramatization and its resources: linguistic, corporal, plastic and rhythmic-musical expression.

After a few games the children will be more at ease with the group so it will be the opportune moment for each one to show that this fact, for it I will resort to some routines of theater adapted to the children to make exercises of performance, also I will be able to detect if some of the children have some problem of learning or has a deficiency in the speech or gestures, this in order to be able to take out the greater potential of each child but in his condition.

Day 4 Different situations and contact through body expression.

Here is extended a little more the teaching of day 3 in order to make the montage of a small play with a script created the same day, is something very practical, only use something that is a physical gesture, in order to take more advantage of the movement that is a fundamental piece in puppet theater. 

Day 5 Games and dramatic activities (putting oneself in different situations and improvising). 

This would be the third day of practice, here I will leave under the responsibility of the children the interpretation of totally improvised performances, but as a game, at no time I intend to do rigorous exercises of theater, this would put tense to the children the idea is that they learn to play.

Day 6 Puppet theatre, and types of puppets

Well, now it is the turn to work with puppets, for this we will not use puppets, if not limbs, one of the best exercises in puppet theater are those that have to do with the limbs, with the arm is enough to indicate to each child that impregnate some kind of emotion, can be sadness or can be joy or strength, as is used more than all finger puppets or puppets is necessary to master this technique to get the most out of the classes.

Day 7 Learn theatrical concepts.

It is always important to maintain the same thread in teaching is not about teaching him something related to theater and that in a few days has been forgotten, the challenge is to capture the attention so that after the workshop ends can be made the creation of a community children's theater group and continue learning.

Day 8 Creation of puppets, puppets, making the stage box or theatre.

After a week of training in different theatrical techniques came the part of making the puppets, in this case it is necessary to remember that the theater is the synthesis of all the arts in a single discipline, therefore with the manufacture of the doll will be learning many things at the same time, proportions, painting, ability to manipulate certain tools under the supervision of my person to make each doll giving itself its characteristic touch.

Day 9 Theatrical editing and creation of sets.

From this day we will begin to present the elements that we will have made to have a clearer idea of how the spectators will be able to see it, the idea is that the children learn that any artistic work is generated for another person to observe and interpret it, it is a function and commitment of the artist to generate a digestible work that can be understood by as many people as possible. They will also learn a lot about aesthetics. 

Day 10 Breathing, phonology, relaxation, concentration, improvisation activities

After having done exercises for a week, now will be the time to refine the voice through the use of some techniques, and of course the same practices will be done with improvisations this is the most important thing.

Day 11 Activities that favor oral expression, communication.

With the exercises of the previous day, we will be able to work better on oral expression and work on the unique voices that the children will create for each character.

Day 12: Discussion about the format and content of the play.

This step seems a little distant, but I have placed it as the final discussion of the final details of the script that we will build as the days of the workshop pass.

Day 13 dress rehearsal

The general rehearsals will be to present the work with all its elements, some parents and representatives may be invited.

Day 14 General rehearsal

Here we will finish all the details of the work to be executed the next day.

Day 15 presentation of the work in the community.

This is the most eagerly awaited day of the two weeks where the children will learn many techniques and expressive forms applied to art, all parents and representatives will attend the function, as well as other neighbors, which will end with a sharing to further strengthen the bonds formed.
