Selection of sculptures inspired by Simon Bolivar part 2

To close this publication I show the other part of the sculptures that I could find in the Bolivarian museum of the colonial history, I have a doubt if this museum with the same characteristics is the same concept of the houses of tolerance. This is because the museum shows the brutality and forms of domination of the Spanish empire.

The most docile part I think is the tables that have the exhibition of the sculptures among them you can find other heroes of the nation as the generalissimo Francisco de Miranda one of the precursors of independence in all America his political plan called the Colombeia was intended to unify the entire American continent, north, central and south in one country with unique characteristics, at some point I will make a special publication on this great man whose name appears the triumphal arch of Paris, in American history and the history of Venezuela for having participated in organizing the emancipatory processes.

Among the characters is also José Antonio Paez one of the most important soldiers of the independence who obtained the rank of general because of his skill in the battlefield thanks to him important victories were achieved against the Spanish empire, the only detail is that this same character defrauded and betrayed the ideals of Bolivar conspiring against the project of the great Colombia that was the unification of Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador.

The other characters are just as important since without the work of each one the independence of Venezuela would not have been achieved.

Another important aspect is that the independence of Venezuela did not happen precisely with the objective of breaking ties with the Spanish empire, the same categorization of Spanish citizens who had children in Venezuela caused the birth of a new class that lost part of the rights to be Spanish, this was part of the discontent that originated much of the separatist movements. It was until the third republic that represented the third war fought against the Spaniards when the aborigines and enslaved Africans were incorporated as part of the struggle, historically there are still problems with these groups that continue to be the most socially disadvantaged.

This shows that the mark of the Spanish empire managed to leave serious features of Neo colonialism and to this we must add that it was much easier for the United States to do political work by buying wills through dictators who allowed them to enjoy oil sales practically for free.
