In my search for new pieces of art to detail through specialized art publications, I found a real gem, these are two bronze sculptures one of them by the famous French sculptor Émile Pynot known in the art world as one of the most remarkable sculptors of the nineteenth century, in addition to sculpture is known to design some Olympic medals.

The sculpture is located in the yellow house a historical place in the capital of Venezuela that was firstly a building built by the Spanish invaders, after passing the colonial period the building became a prison and then was one of the first presidential mansions in the country.

Nowadays the yellow house is the headquarters of the vice presidency in which you can find beautiful sculptures among them the one of the sculptor Émile Pynot, probably they were sold during the second decade of 1900 about 10 years before he died.

In those times of new democracies, governments acquired works of art to be placed in the different old buildings used for town halls, governorships and presidential seats.

Bronze sculptures began to be made in the ancient period and are present in Asia and Europe since 310 AD.

The manufacture has varied little during centuries, the classic form of elaboration is by stages that go from the modeling in refractory material to make the details until the casting that can be made by the same sculptor or by somebody expert in smelting.

The details of these two sculptures are simply wonderful, you can appreciate with great care and scale the proportions of the bodies and accessories. These sculptures will most likely last for hundreds of years if they are maintained continuously, since copper and high hardness tin are low oxidation metals.

I am in a continuous search of unique pieces to make a documentary archive that everyone can appreciate in the STEEM community, some concerns about the history behind these objects is what motivates me to make visits to different sites, some identified others that I have been discovering in different disinterested outings.
