THE HOPE. . .

"Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise".

Hebrews 10:23

Hope is the measure of probability that something will happen. Many of us are likely to be experiencing some undesirable situation in our personal lives, in our family, and in many cases in our countries; that is why the subject of hope is so pertinent at this time. We live in a state of collective neurosis, which is a type of behavioral disorder. We are victims of a constant bombardment that produces insecurity, fear and nerves. How do we make this not affect us?

The only thing we have is hope !. . .

But that hope needs something to sustain it. What sustains hope? It can be family, change of government, support, food, and so many other things. We usually put our hope in these things ... But, we must know that there are living hopes and dead hopes.

Hope is based on trust. What is the foundation of our hope? We know that hope is activated when we expect something that we do not yet have. As human beings we expect many things ... In the spiritual we expect the greatest of gifts, eternal life. And we base that hope, that hope, on the Word of God. For this, our life should fit the life of Christ.

Now, what can hinder man's path to eternal life? THE SIN. There is no human way to solve the problem of sin and death (Romans 3: 10,11,23). The foundation of hope for sin is works, and those works are dead. Therefore, beware of whom we place our hope! (Jeremiah 17: 5/1 Timothy 6:17)

WHO OR WHAT DO WE PUT OUR HOPE IN? In the family, in the country, in our life? Our hope must be in God. Christ is the only model worthy of our hope. At this moment Venezuela is moaning (Proverbs 29: 2). But our trust should only be placed in God to be full and living (Ephesians 2: 12-18).

Christ is the only hope. He is the foundation of our trust, and it is the rock that sustaineth us (Matthew 7:24). Where do we place our hope? In the power of God (Proverbs 3: 5-6). Life is the most precious thing we have. Let us rest in God (Jeremiah 17: 7). Christ paid the price for our sin. When evil comes, let us be steadfast because our life is in Christ (Isaiah 1: 10-20). Let us come to Christ and rest in Him (Matthew 11:28).

"For I am conscious of my thoughts about you,
says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil,
to give you hope at the end".

Jeremiah 29:11

Here I leave a video of a song by Crowder and Tauren Wells - "All My Hope", very appropriate for the theme that I have shared ...
