Shop With Bitcoin on Amazon Using Lightning Network.

The image above is the team of a crypto start up called Moon, from left Kemel McKenzie, Ken Kruger and Khurram Kalim , which actually would make spending their Bitcoin on Amazon and pretty soon enough most online selling websites in the world a reality.

It will use lightning network through Moon's browser extension. To clarify, Amazon itself never touches Bitcoin directly, Kruger added that by 2020 the lightning-enabled feature should work on almost any e-commerce site, regardless of whether that platform accepts bitcoin directly.

Moon CEO Ken Kruger told CoinDesk:

“[The extension] will pop up a QR code and it will have the lightning invoice, which you could also copy and paste if you can’t use the QR code for some reason, and you’ll be able to pay with your favorite lightning wallet.”
Moon is integrating Visa and Mastercard and they get a cut out of interchange fees. Here is a snapshot of that sample transaction with Amazon:

There's a lot of opportunities and lots of development that needs to be done. But I think this is another giant step for mainstream Bitcoin adoption.
