Donkey: A poker player that plays bad and gets lucky.
Playing against a donkey can be painful. It's like luck is always on its side. I remember when I use to get frustrated when a donkey beat me on the river after I flopped top pair top kicker. Now, I am very happy to see one at the table. I have figured them out. To beat the donkey you need to play like a donkey.
When a donkey is in a hand I play just about anything, I bring my game to their level. I show them that I can too fuck’em on the river. I do pick and choose my spots though. I don't recommend this tactic, I do it just to spit them.
The best way other than playing like a donkey, is to change up your game. Don’t try to get them with top pair top kicker. Wait and wait and wait…’till you hit a two pair or a set. Trust me you are going to get paid-off. Don't rush into beating them with top pair top kicker, just wait to be in a way better spot. Most player won't pay you off when you have a strong hand like two pair or a set, but a donkey will. The wait will be worth it.
Poker is a game of patience, don't rush into things. Let the game come to you. Play the player, the odds and your cards.
