Prototype Leather STEEMIT Ledger Nano S Keychain case -- Your feedback is requested!
It seems to me if you are going to transport the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet, your bare pocket is not such a great idea. And I can't quite see myself hanging one around my neck on that shoe string lanyard supplied in the box from the manufacture. The question of how to actually transport one around from the comfort of home to wherever, has had me mulling several different ideas for leather Ledger Nano S carrying cases-- with Steemit and Steem symbols on them of course!
The Keychain Case Prototype:
It seems to me that if you are going to transport your Nano, having it connected to your keys or wallet (the design for a card wallet with a nano attached is still brewing in my head) would help one to not lose it.
At 1 1/2" wide, 6" long (excluding the key ring) and 1" thick (when full of nano and cable), this seemed like the biggest one you could want in their pants pocket. And I am not sure you will able to wedge it in your skinny jeans.
The case has a snap closure and a 1 1/4" split key ring riveted to it.
The sides are thin, tough pigskin which allow the case to collapse nearly flat when empty and expand to a full inch wide.
I have mounted a solid heavy duty Line 20 snap to close the case.
The Ledger Nano goes into the top of the case...
....and the cord is coiled up tight and goes into the bottom.
It all fits pretty snuggly because of the size of the usb cable. If the cable were half the size, it would fit better with room to carry the USB adapters that come from the manufacturer or other things (I have no idea what one might carry besides maybe your herb).

Make it small and smooth so it can fit into an anus...that way it can be transported thru a tsa check point.

Just wondering if it is difficult to retrieve the cable from the bottom of the keychain case? Is there also much wriggle room inside the case or will the ledger more around? Otherwise the design is great because it allows the key and cable to be stored in one convenient location (I have a tendency to misplace cables).
The cable is sorta jammed in there you can fish it out with a finger. I would think a shorter cable would help make this a more portable device. The ledger stay put against the cable.
