In the central west on the Island of Sumatra, at 90 km by road from the city of Padang, is the city of Bukittinggi. The atmosphere is pleasant and at more than 900m above the see level the climat is milder. The place is not crowded despite the beautiful places to visit in the vicinity like the Sianok Canyon

Passing between the two volcanoes, Singalang and Marapi, the canyon makes the landscape exeptionally beautiful

Almost everywhere in Asia, you can rent a motorcycle at low prices and it is the best way to discover the surroundings and get lost in the rice fields
