AT YOUR SERVICE @HOMESTEAD

I am beyond incandescent with rage this morning. Some low life decided it would be funny to let my donkeys out of their field. This is bad enough when you consider had they wandered off they could have gotten lost in the mountains. But it was topped by the fact that the area is swarming with hunters. Now it could have been one of them or none of them. Without proof I can do little. And I don't doubt some might be saying that maybe the donkeys broke out by themselves. That my friends was my first thought. However I quickly discounted it when I found the posts and rails laying inside the paddock in a neat pile. The chain that keeps them from being lifted (it's on a thread through device) sitting in a heap to the side and the baler twine (which lets face it is an essential part of every fence on the homestead) and electric fence had been cut.
Seriously I have no enemies that I know of and cannot think for the life of me why anyone would want to put so sweet a pair of boys in danger by letting them out.
Thankfully they hadn't wandered far mainly due to them being in 2 seperate fields with electric fencing between them. They hate being more than a few metres/yards apart. So because the one who could have gone on a mountain adventure didn't have his cohort with him they stayed relatively close to home. Had they been able to go off..... Oh my I shudder to think what might have happened.

So please be extra vigilant and maybe check that your fences are tamper proof or as much as they can be.
