Look What Bob Ross Taught Me!
Last night, a good friend of mine came over and wanted to do a Bob Ross night. If you don't know who Bob Ross is, look him up. He was an amazing painter who made these gorgeous paintings in just thirty minutes. He had a TV series for a very long time and has since passed away but some of the seasons are on Hulu and Netflix. He used his whispery voice and pleasant disposition to teach people to how to paint.
Of course, it took me waaayyy longer than thirty minutes to do the painting, but that is what pause and rewind are for.
I also didn't use oil paints like I was supposed to. This painting is an acrylic version of his "Hint of Spring" episode.
I was so amazed at what I was able to create with his help! Totally shocked! I'm so pleased with my painting and it was so relaxing and fun. To make it even better, my husband actually painted with us! He has never painted in his life and does not do any kind of art so I was really proud, and grateful for his effort to make me happy by participating. And I think that his painting turned out great considering he has never painted before :) He is so sweet.
He even went off on his own halfway through and decided to do his own thing. He made a sunset version without snow. And he did a grassy field instead of water. His isn't finished yet, but this is what he has so far.
Anyway, that was fun. You should try it sometime! Thanks Bob Ross!
I am impressed!
Thanks!
