Facebook and Google Have Unique Rules About Courtship

Love the location is hard to avoid. No wonder if the office became one of the growth of seeds of love, especially those employees mostly young and single. Based on a Career Builder survey in 2017, 41 percent of workers claimed to have dated a colleague.

Facebook and Google, the world's two largest companies, have set unique rules around dating to prevent problems among co-workers, particularly related to allegations of sexual harassment.
Yoree Koh and Rachel Feintzeig wrote in The Wall Street Journal that the technology giant has enacted a new regulation allowing workers to date with co-workers only once. And in case of rejection, they should not attempt to pursue their love. The ambiguous responses of the dating person such as, 'I am busy', or 'I will think about it ...', can also be considered as a form of rejection.

Facebook employees are not obliged to report the dating to the HRD. In fact, if the date is junior and senior. However, in case of rejection and conflict, the employee must report. Not yet known whether the rule also applies throughout the offices of these two technology giants in other countries.
