Do We Remember Ourselves Before Birth? 👶💭
Pre-Birth Memories
The soul or essence of an issue is that which identifies it; if completed without it, it does not exist. To say our souls are eternal is to say in some shape or form that we continue to exist, our identities are not lost.
However, how do we still exist in our present form is lost? How could we be identified without having our present state?
To answer that, I need to say I think we are intricate mixtures of those things that remain with those things that have changed. There must be those things that remain, or our identities wouldn't stay constant even though, of course, they change.
The Important Of Recognition
Memories are associations of similarities with dissimilarities; we don't keep in mind those things that remain (it makes no sense to remember those things that are presently before us) however those things that are no longer. We don't remember that which we are but however, that which we were; we know that which we are. So, recognition is an association of that which we are with that which we were. Without the capability to recognise, there's no capacity to identify.
The bothersome question is: if we apparently had our beginning at birth, having no past, how did we identify or recognise anything?
Of course, one could say, "We didn't. we knew things for the first time."
A Glimpse Of Our Former Self
However, knowing one thing for the first time relies on recognition. There should be a memory of something once known. For how could we in the most basic way identify or recognise that which we've never known?
To which, one could quickly retort, "That's, exactly, the problem; we do not recognise that which we've never known."
Yet, this is not entirely true. We identify its substance if nothing else. For example, the wind is formless however has substance. The substance is that which is crucial to all things. We are born with the recognition of substance; if we did not have this recognition, there's no awareness.
So, the question is: what's substance?
The substance is practically existence. It's the capability to distinguish that which is from that which is not. For example, we know the wind has substance because we all know that which it's not.
We are born with memory; we are born with recognition of substance; we are born with recognition of that which is.
To be born with recognition of substance, we should have known substance before our birth. For, how is one able to identify that which they cannot remember?

Totally different thought going on here today @arckrai personally I do not remember a past life and believe after death you become stardust, what memories move on would have to be debated.
