New development (SBD-Converter) should integrate steemconnect secure login.

What is the project about?
It is new platforms to help convert SBD at a flat rate of 1$ which will help members of the Steemit community get a better reward for Steem Back Dollar in times like this when the crypto market is failing and the price of SBD is falling below 1$.

Proposal Description
The system should have a secured login page and collaborate with steemconnect like other steem related sites. This is to help gain the trust of steemit users. Once steemconnect is incorporated in the system it will solve privacy issues. Because most steemit users will not appreciate giving their key out.
Just as other steem related sites make users feel secured with login process, SBD converter should also integrate one.
Mockups / Examples
The SBD converters home page should look like the image above or the one below.
After which the user will automatically be redirected to steemconnect.com as seen in the image below.
Then we can be taken back to the present SBD converter's home page to carry out the conversion.
Benefits
The system seems to be a very simple one but must users would not want to give out their active key.
Using steemconnect shows authenticity and security.
It will make users feel relaxed and use the platform without fear of losing their funds.

Hi @arcjen02, The Idea you share is more of an organizational process. Steemconnect is a third party app for authenticating transaction and its trusted by many. It is not surprising that some project owner doesn't use it and prefer to use a different algorithm to keep users key safe. The feedback from the PO explains it all and his intention.

Hi @arcjen02, you explained it really well and your concern is genuine. One user's PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY is very private and should not be given out to anyone you do not trust.
But the solution you are proposing can not be done as SteemConnect doesn't support SBD to STEEM conversion yet. Click here to check what operations are supported by SteemConnect. I don't think you can also give someone else your ACTIVE role with SteemConnect too.
So, the only solution for now is using ACTIVE KEY by yourself. You can download the
SBD-Converterproject from GitHub and run it on your computer or mobile browser. It is simple HTML, so would run without any problem.
