THE DIARY GAME- (07/10/2021): MY THURSDAY ACTIVITIES
Hello guys . I hope you had a wondeful day.
I am very excited to get connected with you all today.
Today was another wonderful day and I will like to share it with you all.
We are in the third week of our Community Based Education and Services (COBES) which means that we have only one week remainder.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, we had our supervisor Doctor Stephen Apanga visiting our facility. He came to check up on us and then inform us about the final assessment next week.
As a form of revision and to understand very well what we have learnt so far, Mr. Naiza- a Nurse at the Health Center decided to take us through what we have learnt .
This will be done in the rest of the days.
We started the discussion by going through how to fill the Outpatient Register and how to generate an OPD number. The OPD Register includes columns such as Date, OPD Number, Name of Client, Area, Age, Sex, New/Old and whether the NHIS is active or not.
After learning how to fill the Outpatient Register, we revised on how to check the validity of the NHIS Card,
With a registered SIM Card by the National Health Insurance Scheme, we can check whether a Client's NHIS Card is active or not using the USSD Code * 842 * 1 * ID # . This USSD also reveals the CCC code and some other vital information.
We ended out discussion by revising on how to perform a Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) with a malaria test kit. The test kit available at the Facility uses the Falciparum Plasmodium. Actually that is the most common Malaria Plasmodium used in Ghana.
Thank you very much for reading.
That is how my day went at the Health Center.
