Good day fellow Steemians of this wonderful community! This is my first time posting here, and I'm very much excited because today I will be sharing to you how to cook one of my favorite Filipino foods, Pork Sinigang. Please keep on reading to know the quick and easy steps on cooking. You might as well try this at home, who knows it might become your favorite specially in this cold weather.
Pork Sinigang is a classic Filipino dish or stew known for its sour and savoury taste. It is a perfect dish on rainy days, Filipinos would really crave for a hot pot of pork sinigang to ward off the cold. Today has been raining hard, so I decided to cook Pork Sinigang. Enjoy!
Ingredients
*pork ribs
*sitaw (string beans)
*Green pepper
*Onions
*Garlic
*Gabi
*Corn
You can actually add other vegetables according to your liking.
Steps
1. Pour oil, then heat in a pot over medium heat.
2. Saute onion and garlic.
3. Add the pork ribs in a pot and wait for about 3-5 minutes until excess oil comes out.
4. Add the green pepper, and the gabi cubes.
5. Add enough water to cover pork, bring to a boil then lower the heat to simmer until pork is tender.
6. Once pork is tender, add the corns and the sitaw.
7. Add seasonings to taste; salt, magic sarap, and sinigang mix. Adjust the seasonings according to your taste.
8. Serve while hot.
