Achievement 2 || Basic Steem security by @april16

When I got newly introduced to this platform and I registered I realized I was given a key and instructed to preserve those keys for the security of my account.
The steemit platform is one in which users are awarded with earnings locked up in their steemit wallet. The availability of these funds reproduces the need for security because the tendency of hijackers attempting to have those accounts will not be overemphasized.

Now by way of definition security is the act of keeping a treasure far from threat of harm. To secure a thing means to keep it safe and free from attack. No doubt steemit is a treasure and our assets should be kept so far away from threat or any likelihood of threat.
Some of the keys given to users upon registration on steemit which should be secured are:

• posting keys

• active keys

• memo keys

• owners keys etc.

Posting key is a requirement to login to ones steemit account and carry out operations such as posting, voting and commenting on other users post.

Active key is the number requirement for the wallet. Anyone who has access to the active key equally has access to the user's funds.

Owners key this is also known as master key and it can be used to reset all other key. The user can use this key to change any other key if he notices any type of attempt to hack his account. I call this key the chief key.

Memo key is simply used to decrypt and encrypt data.

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Yes i have. I did this the exact day I completed my registration.

Yes i do. I just explained some of them above.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

I have kept it in a safe and also saved it on my email and diary.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
