Yo Greetings Steemit Fam!

Steemit is fast increasing in popularity and use that it now takes days before one sitting infront of the screen could say ‘The email from Steemit, finally! Now I can set this thing up and start’

I actually had a previous account here, which then got hacked/scammed and now here’s the reincarnated Atarah.
If you are the kind that is intrigued by names and their meanings; ‘Atarah’ is a hebrew word for Crown.
I’d like to believe that it’s unisex. That’s my steemit name, though my real name is Gilbert S. Ginono.

I was born in Tanzania, but I grew up in a country called Botswana and later moved to another called South Africa. As of the past 3 years and now I have been situated in the Philippines. All that travelling to me has been a life experience of various cultures and environments. Once when someone in the Philippines asked me ‘what do you think about filipina? Would you mind marrying one?’ I would lie or be a kiss ass, but the honest response was that I have been to enough places countries to realise that regardless of where you come from, it is your character and values that will define you.

So what do I do and what do I like? I’m a medical student. That’s 4 years on books, 3 years on cadavas, and 2 more on real humans in the clinics especially those that love fastfoods. I’m still on the book side of med school, and I suppliment my dumbness using hardwork.

I’m a reader and whenever a passionate feeling about something comes up on me, I write a poem. I love the play of words and the combination of phrases to bring about a good flow and create deep meaning statements. Some months back I wrote about my passion in music when I had that feeling as I was taking a walk on a sunny weekday:

Apart from poetry and music, my passion as a Christian is to encourage people to read more.
Do I like reading more? NO. Like most of you, I find it boring. Like some people, it depends if the book is quite a page-turner. But still, I think we all should be willing to read more on science, more on history, and religion, so that we are at a better position of knowing the existence or nature of an intelectual infinite being without being entraped in the sophisticated fables of various dogma.

I love travelling, and taking pictures has being a thing to me ever since coming into the Philippine islands. I’m in beginner level I must say! I’d like to share with you guys many of my photos and I will love to see yours and know what I can do better. I know steemit has got so much talent to show on this area.

Many think that being a med student is being genius and spending all your time and energy on books. I can hardly agree on either points. What’s difficult has always been disciplining oneself to live a balanced life.
There is time for everything (.... mostly books haha😜). And each time you travel or just relax for a deep breathe, It’d be the best to share the experiences on steemit and connect with those that relate.
