A universal language?
Let's talk about The Tower of Babel a lil bit.
So.. For some reason I had the weird thought.. "When is the last time someone created a new phonetic sound?"
I typed it into Google and didn't really find anything on that..
But I did notice numerous pages talking about a need or desire for a new one world language.
To me, it kinda makes sense.. If we were all talking the same language, I think things would be better in a lot of ways.
But.. Who decides what that language is and what if there was some kind of truth to that old myth?
What if there is a force that doesn't want us all speaking the same language? And I don't think it's "God"..
That doesn't make nearly as much sense as some kind of humanoid or alien force..
Like.. Maybe there are aliens feeding on us like we feed on animals, and they don't want us all to communicate better.
Maybe when we get to a certain advanced state.. They come down and lay the law down and reduce us back to primitive people balkanized into different groups all over the world.
Recently there appears to be a surge in people wanting to understand language, and the history of language or.. The true meaning of etymology.
Just off the top of my head there's.. Jordan Maxwell, Mark Passio, Truthiracy(AKA Christopher Lord), Cullen Smith, and a new guy I just discovered the other day named Vesuvius(Dunno if that's his real name).
All of these individuals have growing subscriber bases and I think most of them have over 20 thousand followers except for Vesuvius who is at around 8 or 9k.
This is a new phenomena to an extent, people I'm sure have been interested in etymology for a while, but.. There seems to be a clear surge recently with YouTubers and people using technology to spread these kinds of things.
It's still a very fringe subject, I think Passio has the most subscribers with around 50k.
And I'm just seeing it more and more, people in YouTube vids or in personal discussions or when browsing I see more and more people mentioning etymology and the true meaning of words.
I think this is evidence of a growing consciousness, or sort of an evolution or perhaps even a "revolution"..
Yet just like with everything, I'm sure the elite will be there to try to capitalize and control it as much as possible which is why I wonder how we could get a true universal language, without having their spells and intents mixed in.
Based on my research, they do really want a one world government, and a one world religion and a one world language.
Some could argue they are doing it for admirable reasons like to end war and reduce suffering, but.. Who believes that?
The elite don't care about us, they don't care about us. They care about themselves, and their own control and power and happiness.. Not us, unless we can somehow help facilitate what they want.
I'm reminded of the Georgia Guidestones which in a book released on Amazon by those claiming to be responsible for the creation of the Guidestones, they claim they want a new universal language that is sort of.. Compatible with machine/computer language..
I think we are truly approaching a time where something like this wouldn't seem so crazy..
I think.. Before too long you may start to see some big names pushing for things like this.. Like a universal language..
And I mean.. Don't we kind of already have one? Emojis! Lol.. I think just about anyone knows what a smiley face or a sad face means!
Or an angry face or many of the various other "pictures" that people use to communicate.
Could emojis be our downfall?! Hahahahaha.. Maybe the aliens or God or whoever are gonna come mess us up cause we're all communicating in the same language now?
Heh.. Hmmm.... Who knows.. Interesting to think about though!
So.. What do you all think who manage to read this..? Do you think we should work towards a one world system?
Or do you think it's healthier for us to be split into Nationalistic nations with different beliefs and languages and such?
Also.. What do you think about the Tower of Babel.. Do you think that was a real story? And if so, was it God? Or aliens? Or perhaps some advanced breakaway civilization? Or something else maybe?
Should we even try to unite as one? Or do you think some kind of force would intervene to "try" to stop us? Or to.. Stop us?
If we could put a new unified language into everyone's heads overnight, in a few years we would have multiple dialects, in a few generations new languages. Every individual and every group wants to distinguish themselves by language. Kids make new slang, professionals make jargon, friends start imitating each other's accents. Those who feel someone else holds power over them (kids, employees, oppressed groups) tend to build "Secret languages" to protect themselves. It's the human way.
One of my favorite constructed languages, Toki Pona, has to work almost daily to keep the language from developing new words. Heck, I tried to add a new numbering system last year.
Interesting thoughts.. I tend to agree. I'm gonna have to ponder on it for a while.. But.. How could the people in power prevent people from creating their own secret languages, when that's sort of what the people in power did as well?
I mean.. You would literally have to have almost full control of the human mind in a Brave New World sense to truly prevent new languages and slang from forming.. Hmmm.. Very good point! As I said I'm going to have to think on it for a while, but right now I think you're right and it's a great point.
However.. You know.. Maybe it would be fine if other languages existed.. Just as long as they aren't the "one world language" you know.. Like... All main societal functions would be done in the new universal language, and that would free people to create their own, but not sure that would change much in terms of.. What the elite want.. Assuming the whole world is operating under their new universal language, they might not mind so much if some people here and there continue to hold on to their native tongues or to even create their own little secret group languages..
Language is only a tool, there is no such thing as a good or bad tool, so at the end of the day it will only be a tool and tools don't have volition.
Language isn't just a "tool", language is a critical ingredient to life and could arguably be found in everything. To suggest it's just a tool and that's all it is and ever will be is denying that virtually everything is language.
Also I tend to agree, tools don't have sentience.. But.. Can we prove that? Some people believe shapes and inanimate objects have awareness. I can't disprove that even if I don't believe it myself.
Though language is a bit different as it is not just a hammer or a wheel or whatever, but it is the very fabric of reality. Maybe there is a "spirit" to language. I can't say for sure. I admit I don't know.
Language isn't just a "tool", language is a critical ingredient to life and could arguably be found in everything. To suggest it's just a tool and that's all it is and ever will be is denying that virtually everything is language.
Why isn't Just a tool?
Because of how much it gets, used, then is that something other than a tool, or JUST a tool, only a tool?
Why am I denying what the tool has done, when I call it just a tool, only a tool?
Awareness and volition are two different things, for volition one would have to demonstrate it, I don't have to disprove if tools dream, I cannot know that, nor can I disprove that they have awareness, because I cannot quantify that like dreams, but since volition requires consciousness, free will, thoughts, and the input of the world through senses there is no argument whether a shape has volition.
It's not, it's not any different than any other tool.
I never mentioned use or how much language is used the way you responded like I did. I stated that language is virtually everything, so it's much more than just a tool.
For arguments sake.. Let's look at a typical tool like a hammer. Is a hammer just a tool and nothing more? Or is it also made up of ingredients in reality? Is it a part of reality itself? Is it something for us to ponder on philosophically? Is it artistic? Is it made up of various components? Is it vibration? Nano particles? A spiritual concept?
Sorry. I just can't see any tool as JUST a tool, especially something like language which makes up virtually everything that exists.. It's a lot more than just a tool! It's spirit, it's metaphysics, it's an aspect of life, it's art, it's beautiful, it's ugly, it's just about everything.
To say something is just a tool is to deny everything else about it.
They are directly intertwined and connected to the point that trying to separate them like you are isn't in my opinion the best choice.
For example.. How can you have volition without sentience or awareness? Where does the will or choice come from if there is not an awareness or sentience to invoke it?
Lol. So you're saying that language is "NO DIFFERENT" than any other tool? I can name an absurd amount of differences between language and other tools.
Please stop trying to correct my accurate use of language and stop claiming I'm fallacious just because I talk about real things like fear and because I want my reader to feel emotions when almost everything you have said so far I can pick apart easily.
Maybe you should correct your own language before you go around correcting others. Or try to instead come at me in a tone of conversation instead of trying to point out faults in my reasoning which after more discussion are clearly not so easily hand-waved away as you seemed to imply they were.
I'm not just being stubborn either. Prove me wrong and I will acknowledge it. So far, you've come onto my page and criticized me in numerous different ways and they were all fallacious criticisms.
I've missed seeing your thoughts on the screen my friend! I hope you enjoyed your time away but I am glad that you are back!
I think that with everything in life there is a positive and negative so a one world order could be a good thing or a bad thing! All depends on what kind of world order it is. Certainly the one we are facing in the not too distant future looks to be a negative wrapped in positive clothing as with everything else in life!
I thought your post on churches was also interesting and would just like to add that when we go to church and bless ourselves in the name of the father, son and holy spirit we all believe that we are making the sign of the cross that Jesus died on for our sins but if you try it yourself in a mirror you will realise that you are infact making an upside down crucifix which has very different implications for who you are worshiping I think!! ::))
Hope your day is going well @apolymask!!
Aw. :) Thanks for letting me know. I've missed seeing your comments lately too, though there's still one or two I need to respond to! I haven't forgot.. Just get overwhelmed at times as I've mentioned.
What's the positive of torturing and murdering people for no reason like our military has done and others have done in history? I'm not sure I agree.. I think there are some things that are just bad.
In regards to the new world order specifically.. I sort of agree.. That there could be a decent benevolent system in place, BUT.. On another hand.. I'm not so sure, could we ever have a truly good system that controls and enslaves? Maybe the only good new world order is.. The disorder of individual freedom.
The church/circle stuff interested me a lot too! I think there's more to that mystery.. And yeah.. I've heard of that cross thing before, seems like there was something else to that particular one.. Like the order of it or something..
Maybe it was the order like a clock? Like Saturn? Or something like that? I forget.. But I seem to remember another mystery in regards to that symbol!
nice to hear from you bud! I hope to respond to your other message(s) tonight, but can't promise it! Though.. Definitely soon! Cause I need to get caught up on my messages to the best of my ability. Hope you're doing well as well! :)
