RE: Most users sell their STEEM instead of building SP
Why do you think so many users choose to cash out quickly instead of powering up?
Look at the Steem chart.
I entered the site in 2017. There was a time when my account was over $5k. How much is the price of my account now?
What happens if more SP holders leave—who will sustain the ecosystem?
The ecosystem will die. The usual story.
You’re right, the chart tells the story clearly. Many who were here in 2017 remember when accounts were worth thousands, and the decline since then explains why so many choose to cash out quickly.
That’s exactly why powering up and holding SP is so important. If too many SP holders leave, the ecosystem risks collapsing — but if more of us build SP, we can strengthen Steem from within and make it more attractive for new investors.
We need some kind of mechanism to stimulate the purchase of STEEM, its accumulation.
Newbies don't see the rewards of their posts, and they lose interest.
One steemiter told me that it makes no sense to write large, voluminous posts; no one reads them anyway.
Even if a Major player decides to support the post, he does it without reading it.
And I've seen a similar trend among many friends. They just started posting one photo and a few lines of text. At the same time, the reward for the post remained at the same level.
