Doyougrow~2~Cocoa and pepper fields

in #doyougrow8 years ago

hay best friend steemians!

today I tried to see my cocoa plant in the garden, it's been a week I was not there, because I was busy with other jobs

at 10 am I went to cocoa garden, you can see my cocoa fruit is not fertile this time

image

usually my cocoa fruit is very fertile, but this time somehow my cocoa looks very small and less well groomed

image

the second problem I see here is the squirrel pest that ate my cocoa fruit
image

this is the result if I do not go to the garden once a day or every other day, my cocoa fruit is fed by squirrels
image

you can see it? cocoa tree trunks do not bear any fruit, usually the stalks are full of cocoa fruit
image

the tree was almost dead, not fertile anymore, maybe I should sprinkle fertilizer tomorrow, so the tree becomes fertile, and can be fruitful again

image

although flowering, but the little fruit is black, and withered

image

*these flowers will be the fruit of cocoa, but unfortunately now this flower will fall, because the tree is not fertile
image
My cocoa garden is very dirty and unkempt, because I am busy
image
but in a few weeks my cocoa garden will be fertile, I will sow fertilizer tomorrow, hopefully I succeed
image

fertile pepper

image

the good news, My pepper garden is getting more fertile

image
Why is my pepper fertile? Whereas my cocoa tree is not fertile?
image
in my previous post I already love to you, pepper tree is not difficult to cultivate,
image
you just plant it, do not water it, and do not need to sow fertilizer, pepper tree will be fertile if full sun
image

that's my #doyougrow today hopefully useful for everyone, thank. have shared shared

The squirrels like cocoa as much as humans do I guess.

I'm so jealous you can grow those things in your garden! I'm sorry the cocoa trees aren't very fertile right now. I hope the fertilizer helps them.
Last summer I got plants from the nursery program that helps poor people to grow gardens so we can feed ourselves fresh food. Almost all of the plants acted like your cocoa trees - not fertile. The marigold flowers (which help keep away grasshoppers and locusts) did exactly the same where it made a bud, but then turned black and never opened the flower and died. I have never had that happen and I always plant marigolds. I think because the nursery was in a very polluted area near factories, it made the plants unhealthy. I only had three tomatoes all season but the plants were very big - just no fruit!

thanks my sister .. hehehe😁 your very noble deeds help the poor, your great brother.👍 hopefully your tomato quickly bear fruit .. thanks my sister

Wow! I just learned so much. It is crazy to me you have coco trees!! I hope the fertilizer application works for you, that would be great! The squirrels should just leave it alone haha! They do the same to my garden!

Thanks @karenfoster.
These squirrels are very annoying, all my cacao is gone in his meal, makes me growled.

It turns out your garden is also in attack squirrel ya .. haha .. we have to make a trap for him.😁
