Live as though your days are numbered
Live as though your days are numbered.
Everyday most of us make lists or take count. If you have a party or vacation coming up you may be counting down to the day it arrives, removing things that stand in the way of preparing for it.
What is an item on your list that may not be of importance that you can remove and replace with something else? Is there an event you don’t really need to attend, that you won’t benefit from, that you can say no to and spend those hours, focused on blessing others, preparing your heart, or with your children or your family instead?
Moses is asking God to help us live every day with the kind of clarity we get when we’re under a deadline in this verse in Psalms.
Lord,
Help us to have discernment in scheduling our busy lives here on Earth. Help us to put you first in all that we do and give us peace in knowing we have listened to your word.
“So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalms 90:12
