Introduction

Good day dear members of Tron fan club, it's once to be writing here again, on my last publication I wrote about the Tron blockchain, link and today I'll talk some some crypto Terminologies that people that people mistake for another. Kindly read below.

Cryptocurrencies Terminologies

Ever since the creation of blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, more and more terms are being made to classify every aspect of it. Today people mistook it for another not knowing their wrong. That's why I'm here to straighten things up.

  • Coins And Tokens

Cryptocurrencies are divided into two categories, Coin and Tokens. A coin is a digital asset that is built on its blockchain, this means that it's a native currency of a particular blockchain. For example, TRX is the native currency for the Tron blockchain and Steem Is the native currency for the Steem Blockchain. On the other hand, Tokens are cryptocurrencies also but they don't have their own blockchain. They rely on other blockchain protocols for survival. Examples are Golem (GMT) and Augur (REP).

  • Altcoins

Altcoins are cryptocurrencies made after Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin was the first ever cryptocurrencies to be created, it has differentiated itself from other cryptocurrencies which gave rise to this type of classification. Altcoins examples are, Steem ,TRX , Ethereum and literally all other cryptocurrencies except bitcoin.

  • Shitcoins

Shit coins are cryptocurrencies that have lost it value. This classification was made to differentiate between cryptos with value and without value which gave rise to Shitcoin. Most times a cryptocurrency are called Shitcoin if it's just released and doesn't have any value yet but as soon as it gets lots of value then it'll be regarded as coin with potential. Also cryptocurrencies can be called Shitcoin if losts it value due to certain incidents, for example, LUNA was a coin with potential and had a value of over $50 but it lost it value overtime and is now worth less than $0.000001 as is regarded as a Shitcoin.

  • Fiat currency

These are traditional currency that are issued by government, e.g USD, Pounds and is used to compare value to cryptocurrencies.

  • Stablecoin

Stable coin are cryptocurrencies that it value is pegged to another non-digital or fiat currency. It's value is going to be stable if the fiat currency is also stable. A popular type of cryptocurrencies is Tether (USDT) which value is pegged to the U.S dollars (USD).

  • Market Capitalization

It refers to the total value of a particular cryptocurrencies that have been mined. A coin Market capitalization can be calculated by multiplying the current number of coins in circulation with the value of the coins.

That concludes my article of cryptocurrency Terminologies, I hope you enjoyed reading it.

As a newbie as you are, it is totally odds for you to start withrawing funds from your wallet

You should try as much as possible to build your reputation and SP at this early stage so that you can in turn use it to support others

@chiabertrand

I know it's odd, I needed money that time but now I'm back and I powered more than the amount of steem I withdrew. I'm trying my best to build my Rep and Sp. If I don't get these little votes, then how will I grow my sp. So please sir, reconsider your decision.
