QNotez FAQs

Details

A document was prepared on GitHub which contained all possible questions users may have concerning the project. Appropriate answers were provided to each question provided. Before going on to prepare the document and creating a pull request, the project owner was contacted and he showed his interest in my proposal.

About QNotez

QNotez is an open-source note taking application which provides a user with simplicity as well as productivity. This application is built based on Android Architecture Components and comes with a clean materialistic design.

Alongside being able to create and edit notes, deleted notes go into a "trash box" which would aid in file recovery where the need arises. No need to worry about data loss as notes get quick saved by pressing the back button. Notes can be sent to other apps and can be shared via e-mail. Got a lot of notes? No need to fear as you can look up your notes by either using the note title or note text. There are two themes available, the light and the dark. Feel free to choose whichever suites you.

Components

My contribution is applied to the parts which aid in the description of the project to users, namely the Readme file. The document created contained a total of 9 questions and answers. The document as a whole comprised of 42 lines.

Here are a few questions and answers provided in the document.

• What is QNotez?

QNotez is an open-source note taking application which provides a user with simplicity as well as productivity. This application is built based on Android Architecture Components and comes with a clean materialistic design.

• How do I make a note?

Upon opening the app, this can be done by tapping the "+" button at the bottom right corner of the page.

• How do I delete a note?

By tapping and holding on the note till a menu comes up and selecting the delete action.

• How do I edit a note?

This can be done by tapping and holding a note followed by selecting the "view or edit note" action or by simply tapping a note.

The contribution adds the following benefits to the project:

• A Frequently Asked Question section (FAQs) is a commonly used tool in self-service. With this service, finding answers to every possible question would not be an issue, which helps users interact better with the project.

• With the addition of a FAQ page on Doodle users will be able to navigate and interact with the application better.
