I live not to far from lake Michigan and one of my favorite things to do is to collect beach glass. This was Saturdays haul. Walked for about 45 mins. Most of the time you have to go really early to get the good stuff but I love the bottom of the old pepsi bottle I found.

The Pepsi glass is a great find!
Ok, three things:
People freak out when I tell them its fresh water beach glass. Maybe this week I'll post my whole collection. My parents got me addicted to finding it. There used to be an American Motors plant and an old freight company down town. The freight company used to use marbles in back of their trucks to move pallets and then they would dump them in the lake. We find marbles quite a bit. We also find a lot of old safety glass from AMC. Its got chicken wire on the inside of the glass itself. The blues are common to find. Red, orange and yellow are the hardest. That blue bottom piece is an actual piece of some sort of tile. So nice to meet another sea glass/beach glass person. Thanks for commenting. Its so fun to share my hobby.
Rock on dude, finding artifacts... it's like the RPG gamification of real life. It also leads one to learn about local history, as you described. I followed you so I should be able to see if you post more about the glass. I'm still learning how this platform works!
No worries. Im still learning too! Love your description of it being RPG. Pretty much. I also get a little excited when I find something cool like the pepsi glass.
