My Photography of Iguazu Falls - Am I in Jurassic Park or Argentina?

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

The first 3o minutes that I stepped into the mystical park of Iguazu Falls, I literally could not stop screaming/laughing out of sheer awe. There are many "sites" in the world people travel to for a photo and the ability to say that they had been there. However, once people get to these sites they leave disappointed, empty, with only a picture to show. Iguazu Falls is not one of these places. Iguazu Falls is the largest waterfalls system in the world, with an average water flow rate of 1,746 m3/s. I couldn't stop screaming/laughing because I could feel all of the strength and energy of the water flowing right underneath my feet and all around. It felt like mother earth was roaring, and I had to roar along with her. I hope you enjoy the photos and I hope they can offer you a piece of the beauty and energy that I felt at this power center on my 21st birthday.
Note: all photos were taken by myself except of the ones of me in them. Those were taken by my lovely Argentine friend and at-the-time couch surfing host Camila Indaver.

LOL! This is fascinatingly!!! Like!!! Kiss you

Why is it called Iguana falls? Was there some ancient ritual where people would offer them to the gods by throwing them off the top?

put simply ? WOW ... I got a shiver just by looking at them pictures

wooow amazing energy of that falls

I love photos of waterfalls! And you even got a rainbow in a few of them!

Now if you could have captured a unicorn in one of the pics, the world would be complete! :P

I think if I were where you were in the last pic, I would be just as happy and excited. :D Great pics and thanks for sharing!
