Happy Saturday @ Independence Square

It's been 4 months since I shifted to Colombo for my first job. 🥺 It was very hard for me to adjust for the new hostel life which is away from my home. However little by little I used to it. After busy working days I had a day off on last Saturday and I was getting bored staying in the hostel.

So I was looking for a refreshive reprieve from the urban environment of Colombo. Finally I decided to visit Independence square which is located just nearly two kilometers away from our hostel.

Independence square is the one of most nicest places in Colombo and often filled with keen joggers, strolling couples, families and kids who spend their time at leisure. I visited there with my boyfriend with the hope of having a happening Saturday. 😍

We walked along the lovely cleaned pathway that runs between well kept huge sprawling green lawns around the independence square.

After entering to the Independence Memorial Hall we sat on the floor and spent couple of hours there. In my experience it is one of the best places to relax in Colombo.

After that we visited Arcade Independence Square which is located a hop away from the independence square. The impression when entering to the arcade is really nice. The unique set of white color buildings and neatly maintain open yard add beauty to this place. There are many branded stores and local restaurants to shop, eat and entertain themselves.

After spending some time at the arcade we went to Burger King Arcade to get our food experience there. 😋 We orderd two Spicy Chicken Burger Meals and we got them within just few minutes. 🍔🍟️ The burger is so yummy and I had a delicious food experience in the Burger King Arcade.

I had a well spent day with my boyfriend and got a good start to weekend. We need those kind of days to break the regular life style. I love those happy days and want many more... ♥️
