Sango the Overrated Demon Slayer
This screenshot demotivational poster is highly, utterly, indubitably, and absolutely Anti-Sango. Sit back, relax, and understand why I firmly believe that Sango is not all that because of how overpraised and overrated she truly is.
I can hear and see the steam coming out of many Sango fans' ears and heads right now when I say that Sango is one of the most overrated characters in Inuyasha next to Kagome. I can also hear a great number of people coming at me stating that I am being a misogynist for hating on somebody like her just like what they threw at me when I expressed my extreme hatred against Kagome. Heck, I can even hear retards thinking that I hate Sango because I want Miroku to myself, which is complete bollocks because I bloody hate Miroku too. Nevertheless, I am standing my ground and defending myself when I state that Sango is not all that great. Despite her strength as a combatant, despite her surface-level fierceness, and despite the promise she had as her own fighter, she ended up being nothing more than wasted potential. Sure, she is physically strong and demonstrated her skills in the earlier parts of the series; however, with every journey she and her companions endured, she seemed to become a lot more reliant on Inuyasha to comply with her, Miroku, Kagome, and Shippou, thus making her lame and pathetic.
Sango's skills as a demon slayer may have shown promise, given her epic team-ups with Inuyasha when battling monsters and demons, but the fact that she ends up kidnapped, poisoned, and subdued by demons and bandits alike makes her weak and physically lame. Worse is that she and her fellow losers Miroku, Kagome, and Shippou are nothing more than useless, thus making Inuyasha the de facto savior of their pathetic asses. I know I am still reeling from the horribly bitter aftertaste of Episode 100 because of how Sango participated in Miroku's, Kagome's, and Shippou's smugness toward Inuyasha who, may I remind you, had to fight tooth and nail just to try to get them out of Garamaru's cocoons. Instead of showing compassion and unconditional companionship as she supposedly promised in Episode 52, she just became nothing more than a member of the hypocritical ingrate brigade. Perhaps if she stood up for herself a lot more, stood up to Kagome more often, and was not a member of Kagome's posse, she would have been a stronger person and not bought the whole girls stick together excuse.
People can praise Sango for being physically strong and a formidable fighter, but how she behaved in the later episodes as well as after her debut appearance demonstrated how weak she truly was. Whether she remained as one of Kagome's knee-crawling posse or constantly fell into Naraku's machinations among other villain-of-the-week machinations, she showed how much she could not think for herself and understand that what Kagome was doing to Inuyasha, as in abusing the Beads of Subjugation on him out of her inane jealousy toward Kikyou as well as keeping him in line, was wrong and hurtful. Take away Sango's combat prowess and she is nothing more than a sheep and a pathetic yes woman to Kagome at best and an easily manipulated dumbass in distress at worst. If it were not for Sango's abilities as a demon slayer, she would have been nothing more than a pathetic weakling which she truly is. There is nothing worth rooting for Sango. Even if she were to demonstrate her boomerang skills and overall combat skills, she ended up as nothing more than a miserable excuse for a loser.
When I was a young boy between 11 and 14 years old, I used to like Sango because of how strong and tough she was. Nowadays, as a 30-year-old content creator and full-time Master's student, I find her pitiful because she defines wasted potential. Sango's inability to think for herself and failure to stand up for herself to compliment her physical prowess make her a pitiful excuse of a demon slayer, a terrible companion to Inuyasha, and one of Kagome's subhuman humanoids. Nothing about Sango is worth rooting for anymore because her flashy moves with her boomerang and weapons at her disposal are absolutely futile, especially when they are wielded by a pathetic loser. The one fate I would have loved for this pathetic loser and yes woman to have faced is to have her executed in the most brutal fashion possible. I think her ending up stabbed to death by assassins and chopped up to smithereens by warlords would be a fitting punishment for her. Therefore, I used to want her to rise above the obstacles. Now, I just want her thrashed, battered, and eventually die and burn at the stake.
