Villages on the trail. El Empedrado a Venezuelan oasis. [ENG / ESP].

WORLD OF XPILAR Community, happy day, today I want to leave for you some images of a village lost in the mountains of the foot of the Andean mote in Venezuela, there between green and blue skies runs a peaceful life of work and dedication, is the life of the Venezuelan mountain, in these few images you can see it.

In what is called the trans-Andean road, between the states of Lara and Trujillo in the south west of Venezuela, is located this village called EL EMPEDRADO, the village has besides having its urban part, which I will show later, has a very rural area, where vegetables are grown and domestic animals are raised, the people who live in this area occasionally go down to the town centre to do their shopping.

These villages are very common in these areas, they live in very cold high areas, it is the beginning of the Andean mountain range that starts here and continues through several South American countries, the people are very friendly, cooperative, simple and very hard working, they continue to live as their ancestors did, it is as if time had remained stagnant in those mountains.

The most characteristic of these mountain villages is the colour, as an artist, whenever I go to these places I always detail them carefully, the greens are beautiful, the blues degrade with the passing of the hours, the lands are ochre and yellow and the roads, according to the perspective from which we see them, turn white or light violet.

I do not pretend to describe totally neither the traditions, culture or way of living of these towns, because for this there are specialists, I only want to show you some images that I took in the month of April on the occasion of visiting a relative of my wife who lives in the rural part of the town, in the populated zone live my wife's parents together with several brothers of her, EL EMPEDRADO is really a very pleasant town that is worth visiting in any trip that you make to the Venezuelan Andean zone.

Comunidad WORLD OF XPILAR, feliz día, hoy quiero dejar para ustedes unas imágenes de un pueblo perdido en las montañas del pie de mote andino en Venezuela, ahí entre verdes y cielos azules discurre una vida pacifica, de trabajo y dedicación, es la vida del montañés venezolano, en estas pocas imágenes pueden verlo.

En lo que se denomina carretera trasandina, entre los estado Lara y Trujillo al sur oeste venezolano se ubica este pueblo llamado EL EMPEDRADO, el pueblo tiene ademas de tener su parte algo urbana, que mostrare luego, tiene una zona muy rural, donde se cultiva legumbres y se crían animales domésticos, la gente que habita en esta zona baja ocasionalmente al centro poblado a hacer sus compras.

Estos pueblos son muy comunes en estas zonas, viven en zonas altas muy frías, es el comienzo de la cordillera andina que da comienzo acá y sigue por varios países suramericanos, la gente es muy amable, cooperadora, sencilla y muy trabajadora, siguen viviendo como lo hicieron sus antepasados, es como si el tiempo se hubiese quedado estancado en aquellas montañas.

Lo mas característico de esos pueblos de montaña es el colorido, como artista siempre que voy a esos lugares los detallo con cuidado, los verdes son hermosos, los azules se degradan con el paso de las horas, las tierras son ocres y amarillas y los caminos de acuerdo a la perspectiva donde los vemos se tornan blancos o violetas claros.

No pretendo describir totalmente ni las tradiciones, cultura o forma de vivir de estos pueblos, porque para esto hay personas especialistas, solo quiero mostrarles algunas imágenes que tome en el mes de abril en ocasión de ir a visitar un familiar de mi esposa que vive en la parte rural del pueblo, en la zona poblada viven los padres de mi esposa junto a varios hermanos de ella, EL EMPEDRADO de verdad es un pueblo muy agradable que vale la pena visitar en cualquier viaje que hagan hacia la zona andina venezolana.
