Tree murders
Long times Kostroma people used to ski in the forest behind the microdistrict "Malyshkovo ..." Families, comrades, school classes, student groups and tourists...
But for the second consecutive year the Putin's party of power ("United Russia") decided to privatize and lead the mass leisure of residents. They pulled sponsors and, I'm not surprised, budgetary funds. They expanded the ski track in the forest, cutting down the trees (probably without permission). They dug up the stands, on which they hang their agitation.
All this was called the contest "Kostroma ski", gave out to the lovers of the book, in which the checkpoints should mark the distance traveled. On the points, of course, the crowd in jackets with the stamp "United Russia" on the back. In our forest, such an item is headed by Sergei Gaykalov, a former official at the level of the head of the regional ministry, now chairman of the federation of skiing in the Kostroma region. Under his leadership, young people "equip" their CP, pound tables, pour tea, etc. etc. Every weekend and holidays in the winter the point methodically processed the ski electorate with the flags of its party (and sponsors), agitation at the stands.
The russian executive authorities and educational institutions are involved in this public relations work for Putin's party:

As can be seen from the photo, the huge living pine was cut for someone to sit on it for 5 minutes! Next to the left is a tree, obviously spoiled by a bark beetle. There are many such around, but the organizers were too lazy to go through the extra 50 steps - they cut the pine that was turned up by the hand ...
