Charlie Lee has confirmed that Litecoin is not a security.  This is good news for the large cap cryptocurrency, often referred to as digital silver.

If any cryptocurrency were deemed a security by the SEC, there are many regulatory requirements that would need to be abided by. 

Ripple came under scrutiny last year as the security debate heated up.
