Color me jealous. What are you using? I've been dying to purchase some kind of telescope or lens for my EOS camera which will give me good sharp pictures of the moon. I know Nikon makes a killer point & shoot called the Coolpix P900 which has an insane 83x optical zoom.
Swarovski...WOW. That's a hell of a nice scope.
What's funny is I have that same camera. No scopes though. Sigma & Canon lenses. The lens that gets me the closest to the moon is my Sigma 70-200. lol Doesn't quite do the job.
Actually, I made a chart last year after one of the lunar eclipses to give an idea of what kind of focal length you'd need to get a particular size of the sun or the moon.
@winstonwolfe Yeah my father is an avid hunter which is lucky for me because I get the opportunity to use his equipment. I have a 70-300mm lens that I've used to shoot the moon before but even that is still pretty small...
At full zoom the swarovski can make the moon about the size of your 2000mm example on my aps-c sensor.
