A nomad drone - My very first flight, taking pictures and videos like a rookie (DTube video)
The DJI Spark is part of a much bigger family and it is the travel size version that, for nomad´s like me is perfect. I can fit it perfectly inside my backpack, it weighs almost nothing, flies remote controlled up to 2 kilometeres (more than enough) and it will be my sidekick for my upcoming long term travel the next year.
Tomorrow is my birthday and these drones do not come cheap so my family and friends put in some money and I used some SBD´s of my own - not a lot because I´m buying Steem with most of my earnings - and was able to afford it as birthday present ^^
I am very excited to try it out in a serious way, I´ve been watching a lot of tutorials and I hope to bring more quality footage to my travel blogging - which is why you mainly follow me, I guess -, so in a few days I will go hiking and try it out in the wild!
Flying it is pretty smooth and easy, it is only about getting used to the controls and how it works. There are also a lot of cool features like motion control, using hand gestures you can tell the drone exactly what and how to do it, amazing right?
For me this is a very high step forward as I was looking to buy one for years but I didn´t have the money, I can say it is already a very happy birthday for me.
I promise to bring the best footage ever from every country I go to.

How much did it cost - if you do not mind sharing. I am thinking it will be a great accessory for my wildlife photography. I am sure it is wayyyy out of my league though. I am already helping wildlife groups get some equipment like camera traps from my post earnings, Can not afford toys for myself siggghhhhhhh..

aww your doggies! the drone totally sounds like a swarm of bees! Footage turned out pretty smooth! I've been wanting to get one, but I still need to do the research... your video is pushing me over the edge to get one.. :P How long do you have to charge it to get to the 16 minutes, and is the battery replaceable on yours or is it charging the drone directly?
