Visiting a fairy-tail castle
Many are familiar with the Neuschwanstein castle. It's a beautiful castle that might look familiar. If you can't figure out where you've seen it, perhaps you should watch another Disney movie, because the Neuschwanstein castle is the inspiration for the Disney logo.
The person who built it was Ludwig Otto Friedrich Wilhelm, or in other words King Ludwig II of Bavaria. He wasn't a King like the rest, he had a unique vision. Often those with a unique vision weren't beloved at their time, you might even say they were born in the wrong time frame. This, unfortunately, was what it was like for Ludwig II. But nowadays, those people are fascinating to us. Especially by King Ludwig II, he was a man with a wild imagination and loved all inspirational, and the creativity of the world, whether it's music or art, dance or stories it was his passion in life.
He even designed a room in the castle specifically for performances to take place in. He had privet performances presented to him because he happened to be very shy.
Even though many thought he was a fool for building the castle of his dreams, today every German is grateful, that he has turned his vision into a reality. In my opinion, his mysterious death is possible proof of just how hated he was by certain people in his surroundings. But this sacrifice has made this generation thankful, that they once had a King, who created a dream. After King Ludwig's death, the government decided to make the castle open for people to visit.
During my visit at that very castle, I was filled with a mix of emotions. For one, I felt sad to know that the castle is not complete, because of the sudden death of the king. Not only the incompletion of the magical castle but also to know, that the wonderful King didn't get the happily ever after. But admiration is an emotion you might experience during your visit as well, it certainly was for me. The design, idea, achievement of this castle is something to be impressed by. But of course, happiness will be an emotion you'll be feeling, being there, knowing that he got most of his dream done before he died and just visiting it with family or beloved ones makes it a memorable experience.
I for one don't think that I'll ever forget that experience with climbing that mountain, seeing the river and waterfall, filling up with delicious food at a nice restaurant, where sadly no pets are allowed, and lastly just being at such a historic spot makes you feel good.
I loved it, I find Ludwig II was a great king and is a good example of how you should follow your dreams, and decide your future no matter what anyone says or does. I hope you enjoyed.
