X Months or a Year without Mom.
My brother, together with his family is living in the other country for over four years now. It allows the family members to have privileged and chance to visit them there. Parents can't be petitioned but can stay there for 3 months or a year as a visitor. Both of my sister-in-law's parents had been there and this time, it was my Mom's turn.
Mom never left us even once and we are not used to not seeing her. Even if we need nothing, whenever we are at home, we always look for her, "Saan si Mama?" ("Where's Mom?") But Mom has to go. She loves to go and we also wanted her to enjoy and grab that rare opportunity.
Mom worries a lot about her being miles away from us. She worries about my Dad. She left us with lot of instructions as if we are all kids. HAHAHA Well, a Mom is always a Mom I guess :) As usual she entrusted me to lead about everything as I am the eldest among the three sisters. The chores, the food and to guide and watch over my two sisters.
We send Mom to the Airport together with our cousin @cayeee08 and my Aunt. We came to the airport a little early but this gives us a little more time to bond with Mom. After checking in, Mom sat beside us and talk to us, repeating her reminders. She told us not to cry because she won't be working there and is just visiting my Brother and his family. Mom talked most to Dad. We were all laughing while we are talking. And the thought of not seeing mom for how many months wasn't sinking to our minds. We were just enjoying that little time.
Among us, Dad was the saddest although he was happy that Mom can visit my brother. Even if how hard he tried to hide it, we can feel how much she misses Mom. These two cannot be separated. Dad was well prepared that this time would come but then he cannot avoid feeling a bit sad and so do us.
And the time has come for Mom to Kiss, Hug and Wave goodbye to us here in the Philippines. Of course we didn't loose this chance to took group photos. She needs to get inside already and get ready to board. We prayed for her to have a safe flight. We watched her as she slowly walked away with a happy and a nervous face because it was her first time to ride on the plane.
After 8 hours, she arrived safely to her destination. She was welcomed by my brother and his very loving family! Enjoy your stay there Mom and let's all keep in touch! Send us our hugs and kisses to our lovely nieces and the whole family ♥ See you soon Mom!
