YELLOW CITY- Eko state

Eko o ni baje o,o ba je ti!!!! This was the popular saying in Lagos state during the tenure of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, of which the slang is still reigning. Lagos state as we all know is one of the busiest states in Nigeria and it was once the capital of Nigeria. Due to the colour of the commercial buses,she is also known as yellow city.
Lagos state is a place of commercial activity,where people of all tribes of Nigeria and all parts of the world convey.She is also referred to as the centre of aquatic splendour.
She was founded on the 27th of May, 1967 and she celebrated her 50th year of existence last year. She is located in the southwestern region of the geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
I lived in Lagos all through my childhood and attended primary and secondary school there. After which I decided to go to a university outside Lagos.
I just love it when I go back to Lagos and see the crowd and hear bus drivers shout their locations," yaba !yaba!! yaba!!! E wo le pelu changi o( enter with your change)"
