My hobby for food photography is really becoming my passion! Every day I feel new creative impulses and come to me a variety of ideas. I like taking pictures of food on a black background, but it's not always possible to use fabric. Some of the products look a bit ridiculous surrounded by black silk. Therefore, I came up with the idea to have a backdrop for photos of black wood. That's exactly what I need! After all, the tree looks so harmoniously in food photography. Its structure itself is a real element of art. And my husband and I decided to make a comfortable background for my food photos with their hands.
My husband is a talented Builder, he knows how to make beautiful and amazing things in our estate. He built many houses, cottages, baths and gazebos in our district. I persuade him to join Steemit and share his work, but he does not agree. He says blogging isn't his calling. Well, let's see, time will tell, maybe he'll still decide to join our community.

Now it is necessary to select the structure of the tree and remove the roughness from the boards. For this you need to make the brushing process. To do this, my husband used a tool with a special nozzle.

After the brushing process, you need to perform additional smoothing of the surface. To do this, wipe the Board with sandpaper. The surface of the background becomes smooth. The structure of the tree remains intact. On the contrary, it becomes more pronounced. This is what I need for my creative ideas!

The last step in creating our photo background is coloring! I chose the black color. With a small brush, the boards are painted black.

Immediately after staining, wipe the background with a clean, dry cloth. This will remove excess paint and retain a beautiful view of the structure of fresh wood.

The background is almost ready! It remains only to wait until it dries! The next photo shoot of the food will certainly be done on this background! I can't wait until I can make my photos with a background of ebony.
