Ulog: It's not that I don't want to Use it, I just can't

I love EOS but it seems that EOS does not love users like me. Well honestly I have not been really active with EOS dApps as I incur too much expense while using them. While transactions are "free" users need to always spend for CPU/NET and RAM resources so it defeats the whole purpose of not having transactions fees. Quite honestly I'd rather pay for transactions rather have to deal with this very annoying resource volatility.

I've heard that some dApps actually sponsor resources and some them helps you create accounts from free. While these are wonderful it is just a temporary solution. Just imagine when the Voice dApp comes out will block.one expect people to pay just to be able to like or share posts? I think not, however if they are willing to allow users to do it for free that would be great!

I feel sorry for dApp developers who are shouldering resource cost and to make matters worst cannot rent more CPU now for their users since there is a cap on renting resource. Much of this is caused by this airdrop.

I believe that it is high time for EOS devs to seriously think about resource issues and find feasible solutions.

Sort:

Right... there was a huge amount of CPU purchase 4/5 days ago... Started on 1 November throughout the 3rd of November. But because we have hit the artificial limit of 20% REX free, the loans stopped.

In meantime because lot's of REX is now lend... but you can't actually get more (and even some people are withdrawing).

So, maybe we need to encourage this limit to be removed in case of a special condition is met, like let's say... 3 days without being able to load REX happens.

In regards to the Dapp consuming a lot of CPU, the guys on the video bellow say it's this one called EIDOS. A sort of miner of unused CPU:

EDIT 😅

Only now I have read this bit of your post properly...

LOL

I am a fan of EOS due to the fact that it is an awesome blockchain, nothing less could be expected from project that is headed by the former chief architect of STEEM. The only problem now is acting to address the madness over there. It kinda frustrating not being able to save EOS games due to this CPU outage. By the way have you tried cryptofishing by ITAM, It rocks!

I agree with that too. Soon will be better but yes a bit frustrating if you don’t have a couple thousand EOS staked at least.

Have not tried that one yet. Too many things to prepare before end of the year.

There are some changes ongoing and that’s mainly why things are a bit unstable.

If you buy more EOS and stake it, it will be enough to do more transactions.

I will have a deeper look today and feed more info.

It's time for #EOS developers to launch on the #STEEM blockchain!

I totally agree with you. Perhaps they can start exploring the possibilities of SMTs
