It's a practical trend nowadays that people will opt for making personalized items wether it's for a wedding event, birthday parties, baptismal, and so on, realizing that personalized items will cost you cheaper than buying ready made items. As we were planning for the Baptismal giveaways of my nephew, we had a lot of things in mind as to how can we get cheaper items for our giveaways without making the item look cheap. 😄 And since we were on a budget, we opted for a DIY giveaways. Having said that, I want to share with you how we did our Baptismal giveaways so as to give you ideas if ever you would want to get this too for your future events.

Here are the things that you will be needing for your DIY baptismal giveaways.

  • Shoes made out of shell
  • Glue gun
  • Glue stick
  • Pair of Scissors
  • Thin size ribbon (any color of your choice)
  • Small size silver laze
  • Small size flower (any color of your choice)
  • Toothpick ( for the sticker standee)
  • Tin Foil (any color of your choice)
  • Double-sided tape
  • Baptismal Layout Sticker ( small size)
  • Cotton

For the shoes made out of shell. We opted for this one instead of disposable cups since its durable and can last longer than the disposable styro cups. In Cebu City, you can buy these at Freedom park across University of San Jose-Recoletos. Luckily, we were able to haggle for the price, instead of 15 pesos per piece, we got it for 12 pesos each.We bought 20 pcs and if you buy more, the lesser the price you can get. And if you are good at bargaining, the better 😉.

Using the glue gun with a glue stick, stick the ribbon on the edges of the shoes like this.

Afterwards, stick the silver lace tracing the ribbon. Add some silver lace forming a circle on each side of the shoe. Stick the flower in front of the shoe to make it more classy and presentable.

Use the toothpick as a standee for your layout baptismal sticker. To make it presentable, cover the toothpick with tin foil using the doble sided tape.

Put some cotton inside the shoe so that it woyld look like a sock. Once done, cover the item with plastic cover and tie it using the ribbon.
