You feel like an addict
You think you can still control things. You think about the person you love for two minutes then forget them for three hours. Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people. But then you get used to that person, and you begin to be completely dependent on them. Now you think about him for three hours and forget him for two minutes. A pain stabbed my heart, as it did every time I saw a girl I loved who was going the opposite direction in this too-big world. If he's not there, you feel like an addict who can't get a fix. And just as addicts steal and humiliate themselves to get what they need, you're willing to do anything for love. Don't be afraid of enemies who attack you. Be afraid of the friends who flatter you. Make improvements, not excuses. Seek respect, not attention.
