The Valley of the Kings, Egypt

The Valley of the Kings is located near Luxor on the west bank of the Nile. In this valley, 63 tombs of pharaohs and other important nobles were built between the 16th and the 11th century BC.
The most famous is undoubtedly the tomb of Tutankhamun, discovered in 1922. The western part of the valley is a tomb accessible only to scientists.

Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

The Kilimanjaro, rising to 5000 meters, is the highest mountain in Africa. A real must, offering brave hikers a fantastic panoramic view of the glaciers and Uhuru Peak reserve, the highest point of the mountain.

The Fish River Canyon, Namibia

Less known than the Grand Canyon in Arizona, the Fish River Canyon is the largest canyon in the world, with a width of 27 km and a length of 160 km, with places up to 550 meters deep.
It is one of the most visited places in Namibia as you can walk on the path for no less than 90 km, where antelopes, zebras, wild horses and more than 60 species of birds live.

However, this is a difficult walk, often under very high temperatures.
This canyon is located on the lower reaches of the Fish River, hence its name.

The Omo River in Ethiopia

If you are looking for a culture shock, you should consider visiting the Omo River in southwestern Ethiopia. More than 50 tribes live there, many of whom remain faithful to their tribal customs and traditional beliefs, still living in primitive camps. A discovery highly recommended for fans of African culture.

The Masai Mara in Kenya

Each year, the migration of two million wildebeests, antelopes and zebra can be observed on the plains of Masai Mara, Kenya, and Serengeti, Tanzania.

The Sossusvlei Namib Desert National Park, Namibia

The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique UNESCO World Heritage Site, formed when a huge volcano 2 to 3 million years ago broke out and collapsed. This crater extends about 19 kilometers wide and 600 meters deep.

On the edge of the crater, Maasai live sheltered from tents and other encampments. This crater forms the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, protected for the 25,000 large animals it shelters such as hippos, black rhinoceros, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, lions and elk.

The Okavango Delta, Botswana

The Okavango Delta, in Botswana, is considered one of the seven natural wonders of Africa, also recognized since June 2014 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This inner delta covers an area of 17,000 square kilometers.

The Okavango Delta is a labyrinth of lagoons, hidden water channels and beautiful lakes, home to many animals such as elephants, antelopes, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, as well as 400 species of birds .

The Pyramids, Egypt

The most inescapable Egyptian monuments are undoubtedly the pyramids! There are over 100 altogether in Egypt, built as tombs to preserve the mummified remains of Egyptian pharaohs and keep them intact and safe in their lives after death.

The tomb of the pharaoh Cheops is the largest pyramid.
The Sphinx of Giza, a half-lion-man monument, is one of the oldest and largest statues in the world.
