Hi, Steem travel folks!

Today, in the WOX Travel Contest | Week 1 by @o1eh I want to invite you to an amazing corner of Paris. No, it will not be the Eiffel Tower, Montmatre or Moulin Rouge. I invite you to a real jungle in the middle of this chic European capital - the Quai Branly Museum with its magnificent green wall measuring 200 meters long and 12 meters high.

I stumbled upon this place quite by accident during my trip to Paris. I had a free day and I just sat in one of the street cafes and enjoyed the unique charm of this amazing city. And then I just wandered along one of the streets without identifying the direction at all - I just walked. And then I saw THIS! The building seemed to have been torn out of the general context of urbanism and captured by the primeval jungle. From a distance it looked amazing, but up close - just great!

I don't think I need to elaborate on the history of this museum, after all none of us got banned from Google! Therefore, I will say just a few words.

So this beautiful green walls of the Quai Branly Museum were conceived and planted by the renowned botanists Gilles Clement and Patrick Blanc. Soon they have become some of the most iconic and admired vertical gardens in the world.

The vertical gardens are a perfect reflection of the museum’s mission of celebrating cultural diversity. Before entering the museum, visitors must pass through corridors of climbing plants, secret gardens, trees and tall grass. This creates an enchanting atmosphere and provides a peaceful and tranquil space for visitors to explore.

Oh yeah! In this place, I can start to die of envy and shame for my nerd mediocrity. I am madly in love with vertical gardening and ... for the third year in a row I have been trying to grow wisteria to decorate my house, but every time my attempt fails miserably! Can you imagine how I felt that I was there?

Before the war, I read about the idea of such a vertical gardening of houses in Kyiv. Unfortunately, at that time the idea was not supported by the public, people feared for the safety of the buildings. But I still hope that this idea will be accepted and besides, I hope that I will be able to decorate in this way .... at least a small piece of my house.

All photos were taken by me personally. I probably should have taken more panoramic shots, but at that moment it was the macro photography of the magical green carpet of these walls that interested me best of all.

So beatiful place you have share with us. I love all the pict.
