A few words about the squirrel wheel

Some time ago I posted a video and told you why the squirrel wheel that you see there is not suitable for squirrels. Indeed, you see there crossbars, which at high speed can cut off the tail of a squirrel or even kill it, if it inadvertently jumps out of the wheel.

Unfortunately, often you can buy only this kind of squirrel wheel. For a long time I was looking for what I needed, and quite by chance I saw it today. Unfortunately, the photos are not of very good quality, because this aviary is in the room and it was quite dark there, and I didn’t have my camera with me and took photos with the phone. But you can see well how exactly the right wheel for squirrels should look.

You see that it is attached at one point and has no obstacles that can cut the squirrel.
