Impressions from Ibiza - Café Caleta
Who here does not enjoy sensual experiences?
As I already mentioned in an earlier post, Ibiza is known for many different things..., and, as anyone who travels with me knows, I am known for many different things too! (Just a common, mind-bending coincidence.)
One of those is an intense sampling of the local coffee.
That sounds fancy and dedicated, but it's actually a bit of an exaggeration. It's not really that intense... My coffee drinking habits really only seem weird to people who don't drink coffee. However, let us proceed as if I was a wild caffeine hunter. It's more fun that way.
And so, I took it upon myself to ardently taste & evaluate across this beautiful island.
I have had many great coffees across Spain, and Ibiza was no exception in that regard, but then....practically in the very last moment, thanks to @romanie, I discovered something completely new!
Café Caleta
To imagine that I might have left the island without having tasted it....
It reminded me a bit of Glühwein or Punch at the Christmas stands in wintery Vienna, except it's nothing like either of those. It's a highly sensual, tastefully aromatic potion.
That's what it is.
It's divine.
Ingredients:
-1 lemon skin
-1 orange skin
-50 g of coffee beans
-2 cups of brandy
-1 cinnamon branch
-2 teaspoons of sugar

I would like to point out that all proceeds from this article will go towards the further sampling of coffee across the world.
In faithful service,

❀ Recipe: http://blogditifet.com/2015/07/cafe-caleta-eivissa-ibiza.htmlI have the explicit permission to post these photos. The affidavit has been signed, sealed, sent around the moon twice, properly registering at all checkpoints, as per intergalactic regulations for photo publishing, and delivered back to me.
That's not only completely normal, but probably very important and necessary in order to protect us from unknown constellations and viscous snowflakes.
Adorable little coffee story anibas. Thank you for the recipe. :)
I am curious about your further sampling of coffee across the world.
:) Thank you @mira13!
I look forward to trying out the recipe myself...
To boldly go where no coffee connoisseur has gone before!
I believe in coffee addiction. I love, too. but my husband @mnallica, he is a complete addict. Coffee has a good value for my country. I like sharing, my friend. Thank you!
Addiction is one of those words, sometimes used affectionately, other times to describe a serious condition.
I don't know about your husband but, in my case, at least when it comes to coffee, I neither need it physically, nor does it affect me in any way. I can drink it before going to sleep, and fall asleep just fine... so I have a sort of caffeine immunity.
I simply enjoy the taste!
coffee does not affect me either - because I cannot sleep at night anyway, whether I drink coffee or not! If I get up early in the morning and have coffee, I go right back to sleep again and watch head-movies!
LOL!
Perhaps you could try taking a long walk in the evening, prior to going to sleep.
Coffee is a ritual for some people (I am one of those people). This was such a sweet story! And very imaginative! :D
Now I am concerned that I don't follow the above steps before publishing my photos, do you think I might be in danger?
Thank you very much!
Yes, it can be that but, realistically speaking, I am not sure if I fall into that category either. :)
I imagine something that's a daily ritual to be done once or maybe twice per day. In that sense, my habits don't fall within these parameters...
On the other hand, I've been plenty of times in my life without coffee, and that was fine too, which is why I know that it's merely a preference, a choice.
When at my disposal, it definitely is a passionate choice though, and passionate choices are an excellent breeding ground for stories! :)
You? In danger?
I may be mistaken, but I had you down as a protected entity. Fortune favours the bold.
You'll be alright. :)
Coffee grows as a habit and it's hard to let it go, when for some reason you need to do without it. It feels like a silent companion in the moments you spend with yourself or with others. It doesn't have to say or do something, but it's there.
If you say I am in no danger, then I trust you! :D
I´m so glad you loved this experience! It was really a last minute idea, but sure did make an impact!
Yes..., in various ways! :)
Macht Lust auf Urlaub :) Und Kaffee!
Cool! Das fand ich auch.
Aus rein diesem Grund, trinke ich gerade einen Kaffee! :P
Allerdings ist es kein Caleta... hab' die Zutaten noch nicht.
interesting recipe - but I like my alcohol - so if it evaporates, I would add some more, lol .... or have a shot of brandy on the side!
This sounds like HEAVEN! I love coffee and adore trying different types or ways of brewing. I still, on occasion, for a special treat for myself will boil up a small pot of Turkish coffee that was taught to me once by a friend, and how one must boil it and lift it three times from the burner etc. I just love the taste of the cardamom.
I wish we had smells through steemit as I can imagine this must be a wondrously intoxicating scent.
You imagine right!
Café siempre café, luego existo. Debe ser una experiencia celestial el que describes en tu publicación, se puede imaginar 🙄
Saludos.
Yes, very much so. I'll have to try to conjure up the same myself!
Saludos.
It looks like a wonderful coffee and appetizer <3 <3
