Walking is a big thing for me, I love it......
This is a post of me explaining my hobby of exploring paths. My enthusiasm has increased one hundred fold since my first long distance walking on the Camino Portuguese in 2014.

I know it may sound weird but I have a strong pull to walking down a path or a track as it is called in Australia. I really don’t know why. I love it and I just do. It feels to me like I am going somewhere. It feels like a doorway, an adventure of sorts. I always experience a great urge to see what is at the end of the path. It is definitely the fun of exploring that motivates me to go down the path.
Not only do I like walking down a path, I also have a strong urge to take photographs of the path as I walk along. The paths vary from dirt ones, to cement pathways, to sandy ones going on a beach, to wooden boardwalks. So many and so varied. Maybe this is what it is, the creative adventurous spirit of taking photos. It must be about capturing the view, the moment that beckoned me to walk down.

Mainly, I have photographs of nature kind of paths. They are far more interesting to walk along. There is a special kind of energy one feels walking in the country, freedom, space, quietness and so many lovely country smells.

But, I am also attracted to paths, walkways attached to buildings. Here is lower part of the Basilica in Assisi. I was in this beautiful Italian town in 2015. I had to take this photograph to store in my library of paths and walkways. it has a lot of character, imagine all the people who have walked along to the Basilica for early morning Mass. So I walked along this path to feel the energy of the centuries of walkers. I visualised the history as I walked along!

Wishing every a happy day

Excellent I am inspired! I really like doing portraits, but I like taking pictures of things that are natural, like scenery, too.
