The unicorn cake was a roaring success ..... much fun was had.
Let me introduce you to Shirley Unicorn. She did not look quite like Thelma so we dubbed her Shirley, a good idea we thought at the time, until the 2 year old feasted his eyes on her.
Excitement bubbled out of him, Thelma, he squeaked, his eyes popping out of head, lots of talking as he pointed with his finger at the sparkly pink, the pearl bracelets, the tail and mane and of course the marshmallows. They are always a success, so easy for little ones to pop them in their mouths. He managed to score two.
The 10 month old wanted to dive into the cake so he was kept at a safe distance. The birthday mum was duly impressed feeling a little special. It felt good.
