The house slept and the goblins played ....
Wake up, wake up a State of Disaster is about to happen in your whole house, water is flowing across the floors at a rapid rate of knots. Get up!
I woke up and in my half dazed sleepy state turned the fan down a notch as I felt cold. It was then then that I heard the water spraying and went to investigate. What is that sound? A tap running? We went to bed with a tap running? Is that the water under my feet? Oh no, has the water filter blown?
I did what any sensible down to earth woman would do I yelled "BEN , BEN!" He must have gone from a dead sleep to up and in the kitchen in a flash. "Where is the fire?"
The light was flicked on showing the pool of water had spread from the kitchen into the family area. Simultaneously we acted! Ben had his head under the sink trying to stop the water flow while I ran to the linen cupboard for loads of towels. Definitely too much water for the mop. Anyway, too hard a work mopping at this time in the morning, towels were the best option.
Gazing at the 15 wet sodden towels on the line made the adventure several hours ago all too real.
The unexpected happens and one has to just go with it. I know only so well. But, it is time those playful goblins left our house, they have had their fun. I am sure if I really listen I will them laughing all the way down the street.
Come to think of it what or who sent the message about the impending disaster flood? Was it my brain? Or my inner self? Or was it the playful goblins simply wanting to watch the fun show?
Cheers and Blessings
Water can do a lot of damage when it lets loose. Someone or your higher conscience must be watching over you Angie to bring you out of a sleep when something was not right in the house. I’m glad there wasn’t too much of a cleanup. 💕
Thank you Jo, and I believe that it was my Higher Self giving me a nudge. I left Ken to it, he sent me to bed, I a bit of a princess, hahaha.
Haha Angie. Nothing wrong with being pampered. I’m sure you spoil Ken too.
I do
Very interesting angiemitchell! Was there any damages? What time was that?
Hi janton, no damage that we can see, it was 1am☹️
Thank God for no damages. Too many things like fires happen in the middle of the night for some reason.
