The city of Melbourne

Melbourne is the capital city of Victoria in Australia. The plane ride down to this beautiful city takes a little over 2 hours from my beach side home at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. I am visiting for a week and it is a must to share with my fellow steemians the gorgeous Melbourne. For one thing the climate is vastly different to Queensland. In one day it is possible to for the day to start as fine and warm, only to change into rain and icy. Every sensible Australian knows to bring layers to Melbourne. I suggest you pack a little umbrella. It is best to always come prepared - just in case. Especially if you have already been caught out with the dramatic change of weather.



This is a city with fun uniques bars, many top class restaurants and great cafes that serve the best tastiest food and coffee. It is a place for the best shopping. You can shop until you can drop in the bustling heart of the city or find the biggest and wonderful shopping centre called Chadtsone. I have been there a number of times, it is huge. If you are a sports fan you cannot miss out on the tennis, the footy with Rugby and the cricket.

I cannot possibly send a photo without showing the Yarra River that runs through Melbourne city. Along the river you can go to the bars and restaurants enjoying the views while eating the food and drinking the beverages.
