Steak is the fastest thing someone can imagine when considering about meat. Of course, imagining the pleasure in a piece of meat sprinkled with salt and pepper, and the beauty when meat blends with butter and gives off a delicious smell, all is truly perfect to be the most classy dish that has ever been.

Although it is known as an expensive dish and is the main enemy of vegetarians, steaks actually have loyal fans. Steak is not only chosen because of the need for taste, but there are other factors related to socio-economic, and self-esteem.

What do you believe you that eating steak can increase your sense of pride and self-confidence? Because you have been able to enjoy food that was previously enjoyed only by upper class people and served to guests at important meals.

Since the Middle Ages, meat has been considered a valuable and expensive item. Only kings and rich people can buy it, while ordinary people rarely eat meat.

In a study Dr. Natalina Zlatevska from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Business School and Dr. Eugene Chan from Monash Business School, which was published in the journal Appetite, said that:

“There is a symbolic association between eating meat and strength, power and masculinity. It is traditionally a high-status food, brought out for guests or as the centrepiece of festive occasions, so we wanted to better understand this link to status," Zlatevska said.

According to Dr. Eugane Chan, people will buy meat even though the price is expensive because it implies self-respect for socio-economic status.

People who can buy meat are considered to have a symbol of high socio-economic status and are considered more powerful. Therefore, even though the price is expensive, meat remains a favorite food for many people. In fact, this expensive price implies a high socio-economic status, so many people like to buy and eat it," Chan said.

The Atmosphere

The atmosphere in ABUBA Steak in various places has distinctive characteristics from each other in various regions.

ABUBA Steak in the Cipete area of South Jakarta that I visited looked very crowded. I am waiting for a quiet restaurant to take pictures in the inside of this restaurant.

The interior atmosphere of ABUBA Steak looks comfortable, spacious, and does not seem noisy despite many visitors. Seating is also available in the boundary area to take advantage of space. Of course this is useful for visitors who come alone like me.

Sitting in the space that leads to the dividing wall makes me not care about other visitors. This trick is quite helpful if you feel embarrassed to go to a restaurant alone. You just need to feel not care with other visitors and start enjoying your food.

My Choices

The choice of steak menu provided by ABUBA Steak made me confused. Finally I chose New Zealand Rib Eye 200 gr with mushroom sauce.

This rib eye does indeed include a popular steak, derived from beef ribs. I imagine this meat will have unforgettable taste.

For the drink, I chose Lychee Ice Tea.

The Experience About Taste

In fact, the taste of the rib eye does not match what I imagined before! The texture of the meat is very hard. It really removes my appetite!

I try to find other consumer experiences on the internet. Apparently many said also that the meat served by ABUBA Steak is hard textured.

Because of its hard texture, many commented that the prices of steaks in ABUBA Steak are expensive compared to other steak restaurants.

What I am surprised is why ABUBA Steak is always crowded. I have no idea. Maybe for visitors who are here for the first time like me, and maybe it will be difficult to go back to this place.

Where is the mushroom?

I can't afford to spend this disappointing steak. In fact, mushroom sauce poured over steak is a lie. Where is the mushroom that I really hope for? Oh no, too many lies here!

I tried to find a positive side that made me calm. How about vegetables? A pretty good idea.

Fortunately, the complementary vegetable is delicious and doesn't disappoint. Cauliflower, beans and carrots are fresh. I think I'm more suitable to be a vegetarian after visiting this restaurant because I hate meat. LOL.

Then, what about the drink? Ice Lychee Tea does taste ordinary. Yes, formalities for drinking after meals. Besides that, there is nothing special.

I try to fix my day with a cup of coffee then.

If **ABUBA Steak **has the tagline "It's My Steak", according to me ABUBA Steak it' s not my steak. I prefer to be a vegetarian if I have to visit this place again.

Conclusion

ABUBA Steak can be an option for those of you who want to show off your social status when treating your family or friends. The place is comfortable, but for the taste I can't guarantee it. If you look for taste in this place, it is a mistake.

If you don't love your money, you can choose this place to show that you are able to eat expensive food.
